Since the 9th of June 2022, cannabis has been completely removed from Thailand’s list of controlled substances. This means that it is legal to grow, cultivate, consume, buy and sell cannabis.

However, there are certain restrictions and limitations to this:

    – Producing cannabis extracts that contain more than 0.2% THC and consuming cannabis in public is still illegal.

    – Sales of cannabis plant parts, products, and edibles are prohibited to minors younger than 20 years of age, pregnant women and breastfeeding women.

    – Cannabis smoke is considered a public nuisance and thus prohibited in public areas.
